DON’T THINK! (Read time :31)
The awesome wife has this thing about pushing through the barriers no matter what—doesn’t matter if they’re material or emotional. Her philosophy: “don’t think, just go!” Best analogy I can think of is the time we were visiting friends who live behind those big opulent estate gates that you need a pass code to get in. The car in front of us had already passed through, and the gate was just beginning to close when the awesome wife insisted, “Go! Go! Go!” While I was flooring it, I’m thinking, “Huh? what if the gate closes on us?” Another time just recently, I was offered an opportunity to lead a seminar back east for a group of showbiz entrepreneurs. While I was questioning & doubting if I should do it or not, T.A.W. came up and whispered in my ear “Go! Go! Go!” It’s like when the window opens, jump! And when the big opulent estate gates of opportunity swing wide and invite you in, “GUN IT!”

OMG Michael! I love you for this one!!! I have a tendency to over think everything. I'm going to print this out and hang in up in my office as a reminder.

The last time we jumped on a moving train (metaphorically speaking) was a few months ago, when dear husband John & I were invited to do an all-day creativity seminar for officers of the U.S. Navy! We were nervous, thrilled, honored,confident... all at the same time. Wow, what funnn!) Big hugs to TAW... you must be TAH.

Hehe...LOL...I have a wife like that!!! ....and sometimes I stop and think a little to long and hit the gate as it`s closing. I usually get angry with her whenever she does that to me, but in the future I`ll just try to react a bit quicker. Thank you again for this reminder - I usually follow these rules whenever I jam with other players, but in real life......you hit the nail right where it was needed - once again!!! Thanks.

| Say Yes |
This concept just came up for my wife Michele over the weekend as she was asked to speak on a panel of writers. Before she could talk herself out of it, she said yes and is now committed to speaking later this month. The phrase we use is "Say yes, before your mind can say no", which is exactly what she did. Works like a charm, albeit a little scary at times... Ken

Life is like a draw bridge on a busy road. You see it coming up and you simple don't have the time to waste. You gun it! During its slow and lumbering ascent, you are pushing the pedal to the metal. You know that the gap is widening. You now have no choice! If you hesitate; you will fall back and crash in your previous position. If you go like hell, you will vault yourself over the gaping expanse and free fall into the water below. Unless you had no hesitation. You punch it; you leap over the abyss and you make it to the other side. Victorious in your instant courage. It was a calculated risk. You won! Your competition is left back at the cross gates waiting their turn to be the sheep that they are. Go for it now!

I've got a sign on the wall of my studio that says "Don't Think." It doesn't mean don't create or don't come up with any new ideas, it just means don't listen to the critic in my head.

There is such momentum in just GOing and not overthinking something. I know I have lost opportunities by overthinking. By the time I am up to the gate, it is a split-second chance, and I'm more likely to regret NOT going, than GOING. Thanks, Michael and T.A.W. for GOING!!!
