...and God Created the Sabbath Day...
God created the sabbath day so that we could enjoy a beautiful memsmerizing slow dance. A happy and refreshed spirit creates a much more productive work phase than an overworked stressed out hag. On that note I am getting ready to caravan on out of here for a weekend of relaxation and fun filled enjoyment.
LOVE this post Micheal Dolan . If we live life in this way... everything becomes more or a meditation. We are more "in the moment". Everything always gets done .... love to you amadea

SLOW / FLOW
When we are in the "zone," the struggle goes away and things become effortless. Traveling beyond the speed of sound, things become quiet.

As a Certified Zumba instructor, everything seems to be so fast to me the weeks just fly by and as a creative songwriter and entrepreneur there just isn't enough hours in a day or a week to do all the things I want and need to do!! Thank you for the reminder, as I cool down from each fitness class and at the end of my work day. Your words have been a good reminder to intentionally "slow dance"!

Thanks for the reminder to take things slow Michael. Undoubtedly I am at my best when I allow myself time to be at my best. Great post!

Italo Calvino said the same thing, essentially, with just these two words: "Hurry slowly."

SLOW DOWN
Timely and inspirational as usual Michael.....My youngest daughter is full of energy and creative ideas and I've always told her when she gets going TOO fast, "Slow DOWN Lana...Slow DOWN!". Once said to me in the middle of a fast drum solo in the 60's by Luis Gasca...trumpet player with Janis Joplin. Keep up the good work Michael.....Chico

Love this: "Slow is fueled with intelligence and skill, and laced with careful consideration—and leaves you open to all possibilities." Thanks, Michael! Yeah, when I started reading this, I decided to slow down my breathing, and all of sudden, my shoulders relaxed and dropped down. I hadn't even realized they were up!

The World Needs Michael Dolan
Thank you once again dear Sir! I really appreciate your words of encouragement, they truly lift my spirits each and every time. It's like my Guardian Angel has learned to write... You speak to the Soul in everyone but truly touch the spirit of the artist, he that has dared to walk outside the path. You know what? Oprah needs a new Guru. Not another doctor with topical ointments, not another therapist that talks at you... she needs a Soul an Angel that has mastered the art of communicating with other Souls... The world needs Michael Dolan, our own weapon of mass inspiration... I'm calling Oprah right NOW!!! Thank you for every encouraging word Sir...

Love the articulation on what purpose "slow" brings to the table. I would add: there is always enough time to do it right, there is never enough time to do it over.

Do what I want, call it my job
My late best friend wrote a song about this. He called it Thinking really fast, but taking it slow. Love the article, - it speaks to the songsmith and artisan. Keep up the good work.

Sweet & Slow
I love slow dancing. I focus on every move, consider every detail, purposefully moving, making it look easy and spontaneous to glide along the floor, intensely tuned in to my partner’s every breath. No, I’m not a dancer, but I am an artist, And the slow intentional moves I make generate more creativity than rushing Blindly. I know just what you mean, J. Michael, and this metaphor is genius.

Your distinction between Procrastination and “Slow” is fascinating and so helpful to me. I am one of those whose manager has accused me of Procrastinating and This blog has totally clarified that in fact, I am moving “S-L-O-W-L-Y” yet I am Moving!
