Sins Of Artists & Treps (Read time 0:29)
I’ve seen’um all in the past three decades of my showbiz career. Here are just a few sins that artists & entrepreneurs consistently commit—against themselves:
What did I miss?

SINS OF ARTISTS & TREPS
My demons are very active today. And I'm compelled to write here a quote from The Kybalion, from the Mental Gender chapter, that I just read. "(...)the display of Will-Power is too slight (in the average person)and the consequence is that such persons are ruled almost entirely by the minds and wills of other persons, whom they allow to do their thinking and willing for them. How few original thoughts or original actions are performed by the average person? Are not the majority of persons mere shadows and echoes of others having stronger wills or minds than themselves?(...)The Kybalion

The Power of Opinion
Part of the counter-productive mystery is being told that it's arrogant of us at best to believe we have some right to actually live and work "as we choose", and then FALL to that ambiguous opinion. It's unsettling to think of who profits when we cave in to that premise.

"Stacked Deck"
The 'Music Industry' as an entity is like a deck of cards that desperately needs shuffling! There may be a 'way' of 'sneaking' in an 'obsolete' door, possibly through a rare on-line guru's site, but I haven't found 'that' site or guru yet! I am one of them-thar musicians that wears all the hats, and put in 12 hour days (or better said until I 'drop').....I gravitate between 'linkedin' and 'reverbnation', and lately 'airplay' & 'Jango' have caught my eye as possible 'breakthrough-facilitators'. The same faction that controls the government, media, professional sports and everything else, has a FIRM grip on the music/entertainment biz. They want RAP! So we have RAP! So, until the techies figure it out, 'bon chance'!!

Here's one you missed: giving away power and responsobility to others; managers, producers, etc.

Missed one!
You missed "Playing It Safe." Sometimes fear feels like wisdom, but actually itís playing it safe.

it's not easy
Change is so difficult for me.....why?.....cause I FEAR making the wrong decision, going the wrong direction, signing up with the wrong partner, etc. But I often find I'm stuck in the WRONG place...the quicksand of the familiar!!!
