Beat The Bush! (Read time 0:27)
The blathering mind of the crazy, genius artist & entrepreneur:
— Where should I spend my time today?
Sad thing is, these distractions have little to do with doing the muddy work, the work that matters. They’re all part of a scam, a scheme, a strategic method of sabotage, disguised in logic and hell-bent on halting any forward movement. And the sadder thing is, you’re the saboteur!
This is what happens the instant you forget what you’re committed to. This is what happens the moment you allow pettiness to pause what means the world to you. Stop beating around the bush...BEAT THE BUSH!

Maybe we should stop blaming the bush for everything and take some personal responsibility.

Bush beating
I love "Beat The Bush!" I do need to stop beating around it though. These days there is so much internet distraction, it seems as though it takes me forever to finally get to the real work of writing & producing! As always your blog always gets to the heart of the mater. Thanks!

Hehe...sometimes I feel that you own a spyglass that looks directly into my mental dialogue Micheal.....hehe - you hit me with every single line this time. Thank you again for the "wake up call". From now on I will beat the bush instead of allowing myself to be bushwacked by external noise. You rock! Have a wonderfull "turning of the sun" seremony.

Guilty as charged
Guilty as charged but the dogs really need walking...a few times a week! Especially Fred and now Charlie! Then they want to play...@$*% work is hard. I'm reading Purple Cow by Seth Godin - it is constructive procrastination. What.

Touche my physic friend. At first, I found myself slightly aroused by your title - "Beat The Bush" but then - as always, you unleash a nugget of truth that dropkicks me back to what I want to accomplish. And you do it in so few words.

It's very scary, but it appears you were in my head yesterday. That is almost verbatim the conversations I had with myself all day, excluding the dog walk. Today is a bit better. Thanks for the article, Michael!

Great One Michael ! I found using the old school Franklin Planner approach with priorites listed A - D helps keep focus to reach and exceed goals :)

Beating the Bush
I could sit and work on music all day. Doing the business part is the tough part for me. I can get a J.O.B. and build someone else's dream and have a "predictable" (aka static) income or I can work to find a market for my skills and products and make my own way. As a kid I thought that if I plaued well enough and looked good that I would go far. As an adult hindsight has taught me that my human network is is *just* as- if not *more* important than honing my product. If a tree falls in the forest...

Petty Pause
This is just what I needed to hear this morning. I have been considering a new production, something I've always wanted to do. I now have the funds and the time. Instead of pouncing on it, I have been ruminating, stalling and everything but moving forward. Thanks for the beating.

Great name for a band, "Beat The Bush!" —I guess you could say the B.A.T.B. is the same as procrastination.
