WHACK THE PARROT (0:37)
Are you simply “parroting” what you watch on YouTube, copying what you hear on Spotify, or imitating the bravura of others? If I visited your site would I think: “nothing really new here?” If I heard your song on the radio would I say: “that sounds just like____” If I read your screenplay would I think: “this reminds me of____” If I saw your video would I say: “that’s been done so many times before!”

Michael- you have found your purpose - your Design for your life! Thank you for your inspiration in helping me discover mine! I believe that It is so easy for me -- not to be quiet & still and listen to the God within! Just read an interview about Maria Shriver - former First Lady of California. Two quotes displayed on her wall: “Difficulties are opportunities for inner growth,” and “The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why,” thanks Rich

Michael, I can't thank you enough for the inspiration through the years as I try to re-invent and create my own path, however it is easy to be full of ideas and not execute any. So I have to be sharp on my game or I will simply join someone else's mission! As Steve implied above by Mother Teresa. My Calcutta is bigger than me and I struggle with the courage to proceed. I have seen glimpses of the greater me along the way and I am amazed and sometimes in disbelief. I am up for the challenge though because I get bored of ordinary me. Take care and best wishes to all who can be their greater selves!

Hi everybody:-) So beautiful all your words. Finding one's own path is like breaking through the side of a mountain...it takes time and lots of work and...Providence. Who raises up, who falls...it's in the hands of Providence..I think what's really crazy is sometimes the least perfect formula is the one that works the best.. Have a super day!! Rachel

I heard a story about Mother Teresa. While living in India she received a letter from another Nun who wanted to join her in her work. The reply from Mother Teresa was “find your own Calcutta” My Calcutta is within. I found it and still discovering it. Inspired by others but being as true to myself in the quest to get it all out. I still like parrots...

I have found that it is a much tougher road to set out on your own path, there are a lot of stones, sometimes huge boulders that must be cleared. But, there are so many rewards along the way... not all financial, but valuable all the same. You rely heavily on intuition and the synchronistic bread crumbs from the Universe, that remind you that you are on the right path, your path... just follow it and count your blessings along the way. Like the pirate in the picture above... How many paths did he follow before striking out on his own path that lead him to the perfect gig for himself. It is hard to imagine this dude doing anything else ;-) All love, Atma

Some say that all stories have been written and all notes have been played. If so, then everything is rehashed.

| reinvent destiny |
I run my own business and for the past 15 years have run it by my own rules. However, something’s not working. My business stopped “growing” about 3 years ago and I’m limping along barely making it. I think it’s time to “whack the parrot” and reinvent my destiny.

I am influenced heavily by others. Just when I think I'm being creative and unique, I hear a similar song or read a similar story. Then it's back to the drawing board.
