THERE’S NO EXCUSE (0:43)
There’s no excuse any more for not getting it right. There’s just too much information available, so much factual data, so many useful tools, so many ways to search for answers and seek out opportunities.

Excuses
There are a *million* excuses- yet no excuse. All things being equal what is the difference between success and "failure"? I believe it's *doing* things a Certain Way. There's not enough patience, persistence or discipline to overcome moving *away* from your dreams or marking time in place. That's where seeking insight within *and* without makes all the difference in the world.

Powerful words indeed: Dharma, Wisdom, Confidence, Courage, Commitment, Perseverance. Thank you for all the reminders Michael.

Faith & Trust
JMD, a couple of your own words jumped out at me: “Persevere” is at the top. Yes, knowledge is more accessible to us all, but we still have to persevere through our circumstances. Then there’s “wisdom,” “confidence,” and “courage.” I would add another one. Because after all these ingredients are mixed in a bowl, there is a part of it that is out of our control...and that is when we have to take a deep breath and “yield” to our own “Higher-Power” for faith and trust.

Ready!
I'm a black actress and I know the personal challenges Lupita had to endure in order to achieve this award. When she gave her acceptance speech I knew she was talking to me. Everything in my career is now, finally in place; experience, agent, management, etc. All I need to do now is have confidence and persevere.

Persevere
I “persevered” to achieve my dream and after 15 years was a lot closer but still not THERE. I had told myself if it was going to work, it would’ve worked by now, that I was too old and out of ideas. I had had a small measure of success by that time...maybe that was enough. But last year I took a leap of faith and hired a personal coach. It was the smartest thing I ever did. He provided clarity on where I was headed and direction on how to get there. With his support and accountability, I’m so much closer than I ever imagined. Key word, “persevere.”
