Oh No! It’s Cracked (0:17)
It’s senselessly annoying and foolishly frustrating. Truth is, I learned early in my days as a CEO not to get too crazy about flaws and imperfections or I would blow a fuse. Whether we were producing mags, books, newsletters, seminars, workshops, websites, or webinars we always found mistakes after we hit the launch button. Everything has a crack, and most often the people we work with are typically cracked & flawed as well. So the 2nd goal, I think, is to just keep working it, improving it, and getting it closer to how you want it, until you’re finally satisfied enough to hit the "ready" button. The 1st goal is to continuously refine & mature our communication skills so we can motivate and provoke our cracked comrades to get it right too. Isn’t it obvious, that while most cracks & flaws seem like frustrating failures, they’re actually opportunities for improvement?

Cracks
This might well be what Paul McCartney talked about when he wrote "Fixing a hole where the rain gets in". Once again your timing is perfect mr. J. There are some serious cracks in a present group project and it has frustrated me, but after reading this I just think........of course there is!! So than you sir.

Oh, this is just what I am going through right now, with a dear friend I assumed was more versed in writing then I was, we hit the launch button too soon, now it seems like I am the one with all the cracks and should have gotten feedback from more professional people! Now we are backtracking. Talk about communication break down! Now I am looking for a crack to let our communication and friendship foundation break through:(

Don't Rush
When proofing, I read it out loud 3x without rushing. Iíve never had a SERIOUS crack that way. No matter how busy you are...DONíT RUSH!

Always room for improvement
Finding the cracks AFTER we launch does make me want to tear my hair out! But the truth is, the more cracks we find the more improved we become as a company.
