I’m Not Sure (0:23)
It’s a powerful honest statement. If you were sure, then you probably weren’t creating something unique, or making a risky choice that could take you further along. If you were sure, then your expectation for a specific result would be fixed, with no chance for any other outcome. If you were sure, it would mean you played it safe and followed the rules of predictable protocol.
Just for the record: I'm never, EVER sure when I hit the send button and launch a new blog!

Illusions
Nothing is forever, certainty is a misconception, and surety is an illusion. Thanks for the reminder.

flexiblity
I'm never sure about anything, ever. I walk through life uncertain about everything. Especially my business. However, I don't see that as a lack of confidence. Rather I see it as an attempt to remain open to all possibilities and flexible in any situation.

Being sure
Perfect timing. I just launched a new part of our website Rubber Chicken Cards with a new line of cards. It is s giant risk as we were sure, because it costs more money to send the new cards as an add-0n, that we would piss people off. Sure enough. Our great clients who love us think that we are trying to rip them off. Arrggghhh. That being said, it is worth the risk and now need to communicate and clean up the trail and find ways to let people know what is going on.

I remember stories of Barbra Streisand having stage fright and Frank Sinatra afraid to continue because critics said he had no talent. Not that I liken myself to those two greats, BUT, they too weren’t “sure.”

This was written for me! Here I was, waiting to be “sure” to proceed, when I don’t have to be sure at all. All I really need to do is proceed.
